CAREER SUMMARY
Jack Mason has recently joined the Grubb & Ellis/Quantum Commercial Group as a land specialist in the El Paso County/Colorado Springs market. Mason’s 18-year real estate career in Colorado and California has included industrial sales and leasing, land and residential lot sales and residential land development, including a 3 year stint with Grubb & Ellis in San Francisco. During the past 12 years in Colorado, Mason focused primarily on residential land, lot sales and development. Closing transactions totaling more than $450 million, during that time, established Mason as one of the top producers in the market. Mason’s clientele has included most major national and local home building companies, national and local developers, local property owners and high net worth private investors.
Prior to the recent move to Grubb & Ellis, Mason was an owner of Mason Properties with his father and brother, which they founded in 1997. With the changes in the market during the past 4 years, Mason remained active in the real estate market and made the decision to return to Grubb & Ellis because of the ability to provide more comprehensive service to the banking industry and his corporate clients.
EXPERIENCE
Mason’s started his real estate career in Colorado Springs with Highland Commercial Group in 1986 as an industrial sales and leasing agent. A move to San Francisco in 1988 lead to a job with Grubb & Ellis as an industrial sales and leasing agent in the San Francisco office. In 1993, Mason embarked upon a six-year career in the motorsports marketing business with a 3 year stop at International Management Group in Cleveland, Ohio and an additional 3 year stop at small motorsports marketing firm in Newport Beach, California. In 1998, the growing Mason family moved back to Colorado Springs to finish a marketing agreement with the Pikes Peak International Raceway and then restarted his real estate career at Mason Properties.
EDUCATION
Mason has a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University in 1985.
